Terms of Service — Tarvela Invoices

By installing Tarvela Invoices ("the App") you ("the Merchant") agree to these terms.

1. The service

The App generates tax invoices and credit notes from your Shopify orders, numbers them sequentially, optionally emails them to your customers, and lets you export them. Documents are generated from the order data and tax configuration of your store: you are responsible for configuring your store's taxes, fiscal details (name, tax ID, address) and invoice settings correctly, and for verifying that the documents meet the requirements that apply to your business. The App is not tax or legal advice.

2. Accuracy commitment

The App refuses to issue a document whose figures do not reconcile exactly with what your customer was charged. If a document cannot be issued, the App reports it rather than issuing an incorrect one. Issued documents are immutable; corrections are made through credit notes, as tax law requires.

3. Fees

Pricing is listed on the App Store page and charged through Shopify's billing system. The free tier and paid plans differ only in monthly document volume — never in features.

4. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, or for documents that are incorrect due to store misconfiguration or inaccurate order data.

5. Data Processing Addendum (DPA)

For the purposes of GDPR, the Merchant is the controller of their customers' personal data and Tarvela is the processor. Tarvela: (a) processes customer personal data only to generate and deliver invoicing documents, on the Merchant's documented instructions; (b) applies the technical and organisational measures described in the Privacy Policy (encryption in transit and at rest, minimal data collection, access limited to authorised personnel); (c) engages only the sub-processors listed on our website (hosting, email delivery), remaining liable for them; (d) assists the Merchant with data-subject requests as described in the Privacy Policy; (e) deletes all shop data following uninstall as described in the Privacy Policy; and (f) will notify the Merchant without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach.

6. Termination

Uninstalling the App ends the service. Export your invoices before uninstalling; after Shopify's shop/redact notice we permanently delete your data and cannot recover it.
