Tarvela vs Order Printer Pro — which one do you actually need? (2026)
Order Printer Pro is excellent at what it's built for: printing documents from your Shopify orders. The question is whether printed order documents are what your accountant and your tax office consider invoices. In the EU, often they aren't.
The key difference
Order Printer Pro generates documents from current order data — if the order changes, the document changes. Tarvela issues invoices as immutable financial documents with legal sequential numbering: once issued, invoice F2026-000123 is frozen forever, refunds generate a separate credit note, and your numbering has no gaps. That difference is precisely what EU tax rules (and increasingly, e-invoicing mandates like Spain's Verifactu or France's 2026-27 mandate) require.
| Tarvela ‑ EU Invoices | Order Printer Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Legal sequential numbering, immutable once issued | Yes — core design | Documents regenerate from order data |
| Automatic credit notes on refunds | Yes | Not its model |
| EU VAT: reverse charge, per-rate breakdown | Included | Basic tax display |
| E-invoicing mandates roadmap (ES/FR/DE) | Timed to each legal deadline | Positioned as add-on |
| Printing packing slips & bulk printing | Basic | Strong point — it's what it's for |
| Pricing (as of Jul 2026) | Free / $9 / $19 | Free up to 50 orders/mo, then $10 / $20 / $40 |
| Track record | New (2026) | 2,500+ reviews, very well rated |
When Order Printer Pro is the better choice
You mainly need packing slips and printed order documents, you're outside the EU, or your accountant is happy with regenerable documents.
When Tarvela is the better choice
You're in the EU and need real invoices — immutable, sequentially numbered, with correct VAT and credit notes — that will survive a tax inspection and the coming e-invoicing mandates.
They can coexist
Both apps work fine together: keep OPP for packing slips, let Tarvela handle the legal invoices. Tarvela is in closed beta — for early access write us at soporte@tarvela.com, and if you sell from Spain, join the Verifactu waitlist →.
